The main aim is to have fun and to learn songs
with others who are at the same level of experience as yourself. If you're not
comfortable with singing by yourself you won't be asked to.
The normal progression from a group class is,
after singing as a group at a couple of performance classes or concerts and if
you're keen enough you move on to a
private lesson. However if you're happy staying with a group then that's ok
too.
Building the singer's confidence
in a group setting is very much our goal and this is what we mainly work on from the
start, as is
working in a relaxed, friendly yet fun environment. Group classes are also a
great way to make friends.
In group sessions you'll
learn:
-
All the essentials:
breathing, support, placement, relaxation, projection, how to increase your
vocal range, volume, resonance, diction, how to warm up, general care and
strengthening of your voice.
-
Harmonising.
