Jessica has performed extensively both as a singer and pianist from a very young age. As a seasoned performer at the tender age of six she was performing competitively at Wollongong and Nowra Eisteddfods, as well as performing throughout the Illawarra in piano workshops,recitals and concerts.
Jessica is classically and theoretically trained completing up to Eighth Grade in A.M.E.B practical exams and fourth grade theory. She intends to further her studies in both these areas in the future.
As a singer she has performed and competed in many different capacities. She began to perform seriously from the age of eleven, singing in a folk group, ‘Cara’ consisting of herself and three of her young friends. Supported by their parents they gained immeasurable experience as performers, regularly appearing at Jamberoo Folk Festival, St. Albans Folk Festival supporting well known Australian artist Mick Conway. Jessica then went on to perform at the Kiama Jazz and blues festival.
At fifteen Jessica began singing lessons and was soon competing successfully at Nowra and Wollongong Eisteddfods, an experience she says that has helped her develop as a teacher as well as the fact that she studied both piano and singing for the H.S.C achieving highly in both areas.
Jessica has been teaching both piano and singing at VoiceworX for over four years and has been instrumental in the development of countless young performers, many of whom have gone on to compete successfully in various talent quests, eisteddfods and concerts.
