Nella Magnante

Having spent all her life immersed in music, it’s not that surprising Nella would at some point end up being involved in a music school. Always the performer, Nella first stepped onto the stage when she was just a tiny tot. She has many fond memories of her ’early years'. The regular routine of singing lessons, piano lessons, drama classes, eisteddfods, school and local theatre performances, the odd talent quest and Christmas concerts.

In her latter school years, Nella completed her ’apprenticeship’ by rubbing shoulders with the likes of 'Human Nature' whilst studying at the Talent Development Program’; performing solo at Southern Stars, the Regional Performing Arts Ensemble; as a Soloist with the combined secondary schools choir in the State school Choral Spectacular at the Sydney Opera House, where she has also performed her own compositions.

Nella somehow managed to squeeze in a Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree at Wollongong University majoring in singing performance, (completed with distinction) between her many appearances in Amateur productions. She played many memorable lead roles. Including 'The Mistress' in Evita and 'Nancy' in Oliver. More recently roles include 'Fantine' in Les Miserables, 'Rose' in Aspects of Love and 'Baroness Von Shreader' in The Sound of Music.

Nellas professional career has involved her touring regularly throughout NSW and QLD. Performing to sell out audiences on the cabaret circuit, in various highly successful shows. She has also performed a one woman show at Jupiter's Casino on the Gold Coast.

Passionate about the performing arts, Nella hopes that her students, whether or not they have professional aspirations are able to enjoy the love that singing brings and that some of Nella's enthusiasm and passion rubs off on them.
