Peter McShane
Peter first picked up the guitar at the tender age of 11. By the time he
was 16 he was studying under the guidance of legendary Australian guitarist Don Andrews.
His performance career started in earnest at 18, playing with local rock and jazz bands. He
was also soon plying his trade as a solo guitarist/vocalist throughout NSW.
Peter
gained an Associate Diploma in Jazz Studies in 1984 (Under the tutelage of Don
Burrows and George Golla) at the NSW Conservatorium ... but always kept his rock
roots.
In the 90's, Peters' band 'Shot to Pieces' released two CD's
which resulted in two nominations for Australia's best band. With 30 years performance experience, Peter is currently the
guitarist/Musical Director for 'No Fences' - (The Garth Brooks Tribute Show band.)
When Peter isn't teaching, he is either playing and singing with popular local
band 'Tic Toc City' or working as a freelance guitarist/vocalist.
"Peter is an enthusiastic teacher. He has a thorough knowledge of Rock,
Jazz, Folk and Blues guitar styles on both acoustic and electric guitar. An
excellent communicator, Peter is a welcome addition to the studio."
Nella.
